Some people have been told by “old timers” or someone “in the know” that a septic system never needs cleaning. Or maybe that it only needs pumping every 10 or 15 years; “out of sight out of mind.” Another myth is that a tank takes years to “fill” after cleaning. The average home generates between 200 and 400 gallons of waste per day. This means the tank is filled in 2-3 days (for a common 1000 gallon tank), and should maintain a water level of 6″- 8″ below the top.

If maintained properly you can prevent problems from occurring. We recommend pumping your tank every 2 or 3 years. At the time it’s pumped, we clean the outlet filter (if your tank is equipped with one).

Wentworth Septic Service uses the latest technology to keep your septic system in its best possible condition. If any problems are detected we work with you to come up with the best solution for your situation and complete the work in a timely manner.

We keep records of your system and pump schedule on computer for future reference. We can also help you to find your septic system with our electronic locating equipment. Call Wentworth Septic Service today to make an appointment! 860-642-6692
